The New York Times in a recent in-depth article reported quite a lot of good information regarding AICAR and GW1516, the new exercise pill drugs.
One point that was made is that the Olympic Drug Testing Committee would have a hard time locating these type of drugs in the athlete’s system, even though researchers at the Salk Institute claim that such a blood and urine test is available.
A quote from the NY Times: We all know the body can be improved. We all know Olympic athletes have the highest-functioning bodies in the world. They can call themselves natural, just as they used to call themselves amateurs, but at some point that claim may seem the most unnatural thing of all.
